The Pacers waived Mathews on Friday, Tony East of Forbes.com reports.
With the Pacers in need of frontcourt depth due to injuries to Isaiah Jackson (concussion) and Tony Bradley (thumb), the team will cut Mathews in order to sign Micah Potter from the G League. Mathews made 15 regular-season appearances for the Pacers and produced 5.2 points and 1.1 three-pointers in 13.1 minutes per contest.
