Springer claimed an Opening Night roster spot with the Pelicans, Michael Scotto of USA Today reported Sunday.
Springer has officially found his new home after stints with the 76ers, Celtics and Jazz. Springer can play multiple spots on the floor which helps his case, but at least initially, he's not expected to be in the rotation for Opening Night with the Pelicans close to full strength.
